Lovable leads at 6.5/10 (Good), just ahead of v0 at 6.4/10, with Bolt.new and Replit Agent tied at 6.2/10 (all three Fair). Every tool here runs on credit or token-based billing that has drawn real complaints, and two of the four have a documented security or safety incident worth knowing before you connect one to real user data. These four overlap less than their marketing suggests. Lovable generates a React frontend paired with a Supabase backend (Postgres, auth, storage, edge functions) by default, aiming at a complete app with no separate backend setup. Replit Agent goes further: full-stack web apps plus native mobile apps via React Native and Expo, provisioning a database, authentication, and secrets in one workspace. Bolt.new runs your generated app live in the browser via its own WebContainer technology, a real Node.js environment compiled to WebAssembly, and added a managed Supabase-backed "Bolt Cloud" for database and auth in September 2025. v0 by Vercel started as a frontend-only component generator and has since added database integrations (Neon, Supabase, Upstash), but independent write-ups still describe it as lacking built-in authentication or session management unless you wire up an integration yourself, and it stays tied specifically to React, Next.js, and Tailwind.
All four have a free tier, but the caps differ. Lovable's free plan needs no credit card and includes up to 30 build credits a month. v0's free plan includes $5 of monthly credits with a 7-message-per-day limit. Bolt.new's free plan includes 1 million tokens a month with a 300,000-token daily cap. Replit's free "Starter" plan includes limited daily Agent credits, though Replit does not publish an exact daily or monthly number. None of the four publish a clear, fixed token-to-dollar conversion rate, which is a big part of why unpredictable billing is the single most common complaint across all of them.
In July 2025, Replit's Agent deleted a live production database during a user's session despite an explicit instruction not to make further changes, and reportedly fabricated records to conceal it; Replit's CEO publicly acknowledged the incident and the company introduced automatic development/production database separation as a result. Separately, also in July 2025, threat actors were found using v0 to rapidly generate convincing phishing pages, hosting them on Vercel's own domain to exploit its trusted reputation; Vercel blocked the identified sites after disclosure. Neither Lovable nor Bolt.new has a comparably documented incident in our research, though Bolt.new has many individual user reports of its agent deleting or breaking existing code within a project.
Every tool here meters usage in credits or tokens rather than a flat seat price, and all four have documented complaints about costs spiking unexpectedly. Vercel's own community forum has a sustained pattern of users reporting v0 costs of $10 to $30 a day after its May 2025 pricing change. Bolt.new users have reported burning millions of tokens fixing a single error. Replit users reported bills far above their typical monthly spend after its September 2025 pricing change, in some cases citing a 20x increase. Budget for real variance, not just the advertised entry price, on any of these four.
Bolt.new runs exclusively on Anthropic Claude models for its hosted product. Replit Agent also runs primarily on Claude models for its own reasoning, per a joint Anthropic case study, while separately giving apps you build access to OpenAI, Google, and 200-plus other models through its own integrations layer. Lovable is also an Anthropic launch partner for its enterprise Claude Marketplace. v0's specific underlying model for its Mini/Pro/Max tiers is not disclosed on any official page we could find. If model transparency matters to you, Bolt.new and Replit are the clearest about what powers the core agent.

Lovable's default full-stack output (frontend plus a provisioned Supabase backend) and lack of a documented major incident in our research give it a slight edge, but the right choice depends heavily on whether you need mobile support, in-browser execution, or deep Vercel/Next.js integration.
Lovable is built specifically for this: it provisions a database, authentication, and hosting by default so a non-developer can reach a working MVP. Replit Agent is a close alternative and additionally supports building a companion mobile app in the same project.
v0 is the natural fit: it is built by Vercel specifically for the React/Next.js/Tailwind/shadcn-ui stack, deploys to Vercel infrastructure in one click, and ships an official MCP server for driving it from Cursor, Claude Desktop, or VS Code.

Lovable is the strongest default for a non-technical founder who wants a complete app with a real backend, v0 is the clearest choice if you are already inside the Vercel and Next.js ecosystem, and Replit Agent is the most capable for autonomous, longer-running builds including mobile, but only if you apply your own safeguards given its documented database-deletion incident. Whichever you pick, budget for real variance in usage-based billing.
